Welcome

After being frustrated with the lack of fitness options in town, Boulder native, Emma Straight, left her career in technical recruiting and opened Kondition in June 2018. Emma is a mom of two young kids and wanted a space that she could take a deep breath in, find a like-minded community to be with, and do something for herself. Her vision for the space was more than a “gym”. She wanted the variety of classes a gym offered but in a boutique setting with high-quality instruction. Get ready to tear down obstacles of the mind, body, and soul and help do some good for YOU; creating inner strength, courage, and wisdom. At KONDITION we believe that getting yourself back to working out means setting your own pace. So start your journey with us today no matter where you are…no need to be “in shape” or “fit”. We will even help you find your goal, your north star. What are you waiting for? Find yourself here, at Kondition.

FAQ

New to Kondition?

We have a wide range of class offerings to challenge and inspire you. Please call or come by our studio to find out more about who we are and what to expect!

For group cardio classes, start with the Konditioner (HIIT class) or a Cycling class. We require you to use “Studio Shoes”, that are for indoors only so we can protect our floors from the chaos and dirt outside. For cycling, you can use your own cycling shoes (please make sure they aren’t bringing the dirt/mud from your rides) or we have cycling shoes to rent for $3. (And! We even sell cycling or studio shoes in our retail store).

If you choose Cycling, try our Kardio Cycle or Khoreo Cycle. Kardio will introduce you to the power meter and help you understand indoor cycling form. Khoreo will have you dancing on the bike when you’re ready for something a little extra. All of our instructors have their own unique personality, so we encourage you to try them all!

We offer Klassic Barre classes that are the most challenging Barre in Boulder! They are 60 mins of intense yet fun and interesting moves that will keep you on your toes (literally). We also have an express version for those 45 min. quick and dirty sessions.

And for yogis, dynamiK flow will give you a great, challenging vinyasa style class, great for all levels! Our newest class, sKulpt, takes the flow up a notch…adding light weights and a little more intensity.

KONDITION offers a Trainer Concierge service so you can sit down with a trainer, discuss your goals, medical history and availability, then set a program to get results! For appointments call us at (303) 444-5505 or email us at info@konditionfitness.com

How do I get started?

Click on SCHEDULE, select the date you would like to attend and hover over class names to see the class description. Once you’re ready to check out, create a MindBodyOnline username and password. You will use this log-in to schedule, purchase classes and track your visit history. Also, we have our very own app on the Apple or Android stores. This is the best way to navigate our schedule and events!

How early should I arrive for class?

Before your first class, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration forms, tour the studio and meet your instructor.

For subsequent classes, we ask that you give yourself enough time to be dressed and in the studio prior to the start of class.

For cycling classes, PLEASE arrive 10-15 min early, so you can be sure to get your bike set up to your personal specifications.

If I'm running late, when is the cutoff for being let into a class?

Here at Kondition our focus is safety, so we ask that if you are running late to please warm up on your own before jumping into class. The cut off time is 5 minutes.

What do I need to bring to class?

We provide the towels, the motivation and the love. Bring a water bottle and indoor studio sneakers and/or cycling shoes if needed. We have cubbies and lockers available for storing your personal belongings during class. KONDITION has a full locker room and showers in both the men’s and women’s locker areas.

For all cycling classes you will need cycling shoes. We rent them for $3 or you can purchase our stylish TIEM’s or Shimano Shoes (Members get three free shoe rentals!)

What should I wear to class (footwear & attire)?

Yogalike attire (ie: leggings or shorts and a comfortable top). Make sure you’ll be comfortable movin’ and groovin’.

We offer a variety of classes so please refer to the specific class for proper footwear.

YOGA | These classes will be practiced barefoot so we encourage our clients to wash their feet upon arrival to the studio.

CYCLING | We offer cycling shoes for rent ($3). If you are going to add cycling to your programming, we recommend purchasing your own shoes as the fit will be better for your foot. We sell Tiem and Shimano cycling shoes in our retail shop. Our bikes are compatible with SPD or Delta cleats.

BARRE | Closed toe sticky socks are required for barre to prevent slipping on our floors. Socks are available for purchase at the studio.

GROUP EX CLASSES (Konditioner, Strength & Werkshop) | We will be moving around a lot in these classes so we highly recommend clients use a cross trainer INDOOR shoe [no running shoes please.]. We sell Tiem Studio shoes (Latus) for pre-order.

Our friends over at Boulder Running Company would be happy to fit you with the right shoe for your workout. Tell them Kondition sent you!

MELTprjct | Gloves and wraps are required. Wear whatever you’re comfortable sweating in but make sure it’s supportive, athletic clothing. Any cross-training sneakers will work on your feet, be ready for a lot of lateral movement. Don’t have gloves or wraps? No problem. We offer glove rentals for $3 and wraps (yours to keep) for $9. We also sell gloves for $35.

Please note: sneakers are required.

What is the class cancellation policy?

For drop ins or 10 pack holders, we will charge $15 for late cancellations and full drop in fee for no-shows.)

UNLIMITED members will be charged $10 for a late cancellation. You can cancel your class either through our website or app or by calling Kondition.

What is the membership cancellation policy?

Depending on the contract you signed, you must fulfill your agreed upon term. After your term has ended you may cancel 10 days prior to your billing cycle in writing to info@konditionfitness.com. Any questions about your specific contract terms, contact the studio at (303) 444-5505 or ask us upon your next visit.

UNLIMITED MEMBERS agree to an initial contract term length of 3 months. After the initial contract has been met, the contract will be on a month-to-month auto-renew. Kondition must be notified of cancellations in writing 10 days prior to your billing cycle.

What if a class is full, can I still get in?

We have a waitlist option. This will put you in line if someone cancels. This does not guarantee that you will have a place in the class unless you receive an email or call from us confirming you are now enrolled in that class.

How often should I take class?

For the best results we recommend a well-rounded fitness program containing strength training, cardio and recovery. Kondition offers everything under one roof so we look forward to seeing you up to 6 x per week.

Can I come to Kondition when injured?

KONDITION workouts can be intense. Please get medical clearance before trying to workout. We are happy to match you with a program that will support your recovery.

Can I come to Kondition while pregnant?

Yes! With doctor’s approval, many of our clients workout up until they give birth. Labor and parenting require strength, stamina and energy…taking classes at Kondition is a great way to prepare yourself for the challenge. We also have many instructors with pre/post natal training to keep you safe and offer private training. Even just one session can give you the tools to a healthy pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Just ask!!

Do you have classes for men?

Men love KONDITION! All classes are open to men and women.

Do you offer childcare?

We want KONDITION to be a haven to come and be able to focus on YOU. Because of this, we have decided not to have childcare onsite. We do have a relationship with ABC Kids Boulder (1960 32nd Street) and we are working on aligning schedules for certain classes, so you can workout while your kids are climbing! We also offer a lot of different times of classes to (hopefully) accommodate difficult schedules.

What is the difference between Kardio and Khoreo cycle?

While both are going to get your heart pumping and your body moving to the music, Kardio is focused on efficiency and producing the most power while Khoreo is focused on taking your mind off of anything going on in your outside world.

Ask for our recommendation if you don’t know which one is right for you // or mix it up and see the benefits of both for your cross training!
